The newly-incorporated Persatuan Badminton Masters Malaysia (the English name is Malaysia Masters Badminton Association or MMBA) was officially launched on Monday, 21 October 2019 by Tuan Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (2019 Malaysia’s Minister of Youth And Sports), at Galeri, Menara KBS, Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur.
It was with the whole-hearted support and endorsement of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) that the incorporation and registration of MMBA was finally approved by the Sports Commissioner of Malaysia on 2 May 2019.
The main objective of forming this association is to provide an appropriate national ‘umbrella’ body for senior badminton players aged 35 years and above to join so that their interests are taken care of in an organised and systematic manner in all aspects relating to badminton, in particular when they represent the country in competing in major senior international tournaments.
